How does mood-watch choose recommendations?+
It does not use AI to pick for you. Your answers become filters: mood, energy, runtime, genre, country, era and a little risk. Then mood-watch scores real titles from TMDb, JustWatch data, Letterboxd if you add it, and a curated editor list.
What does Letterboxd add?+
If you enter your @, we read your public watchlist and look for titles there first. The first run can be slower because Letterboxd pages need to be matched to film IDs; after that, the match is cached for a week.
Can I trust the streaming links?+
Mostly. We use JustWatch data through TMDb, and catalogs move all the time. If something changed recently, the provider label may lag, but the watch link sends you to the right page to confirm.
Do you save my data?+
No accounts, no email, no ad tracking. Likes and dislikes stay in your browser and can be reset at the bottom. If you use Letterboxd, we cache resolved film IDs for speed; we do not build a profile to sell or train on.
Free? Is the psychoanalysis serious?+
Yes, it is free: no paywall and no ads. The psychological language is just the skin of the tool, not a diagnosis. Treat it like a small mirror for picking something to watch, not a verdict about you.
